TPC is best viewed using Microsoft's Internet Explorer at 800x600 or 1024x768.

The Photo College uses the FREE Adobe Acrobat Reader to take advantage of the Reader's many enhancements designed for on-screen display speed and image quality. If you are unsure of Acrobat Reader's existence on your system, you can simply click on the Free Lessons link while Online at our Homepage. If you are taken to the Table of Contents page then you should already be equipped to continue. If you cannot get past the Table of Contents page then you should reinstall your copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader, especially if you have installed other software since the time you originally installed the Reader. If you see a window asking if you want to 'download or open from the current location' then you need to reinstall Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you are unsure about having the latest version of Adobe's Acrobat Reader, click the Reader's Help menu, then About Reader. You will only need to have Acrobat Reader Version 5.05 or later to view TPC's Online Tips & Tricks, as we try to accommodate everyone's computer operating system, whether it's a PC or a Mac. And, if the images on your screen look pixelated you are viewing our lessons at too high a resolution, so lower your resolution through your Utilities Panel or your Control Panel, depending on which OS you're using.

We've chosen the PDF format for many reasons:
1. Extremely fast displays of high resolution graphics (up to 90% faster than HTML pages with graphics)
2. Cross-platform compatibility with Windows / Macintosh systems
3. Clean, WYSIWYG chapter pages without the need to scroll

To test for the existence of Acrobat Reader on your system (for Adobe Upgrade purposes) take a look at our TPC Touches the World map (200Kb).

We hope you enjoy and learn. We encourage your comments.
